What a momentous occasion we are celebrating, this 8th day of March. HAPPY INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY to all women across the globe. It is a historic day indeed to honor WHO we are, to honor what we have achieved and continue to achieve. We cannot take this occasion lightly, because we are to hold sacred those who went before us to make it possible for some of us to have a seat at the table, having intellectual discussions that create changes for generations upon generations to come. We salute you because you are worthy! Woman, you are enough! Woman you have overcome and you continue to overcome the physical, mental and emotional barriers that threaten to stop your grand rising. But you are WOMAN. You don’t break. You bend because that’s how flexible you are.
BE EMPOWERED. BE BOLD. BE RELENTLESS IN YOUR PURSUITS. BE ON A QUEST TO PURSUE THAT DREAM, KNOWING THAT YOU ARE WORTHY AND WILL ALWAYS BE WORTHY.
RISE UP QUEENS and straighten the crown of another Queen. It is said that empowered women empower other women, so do that, because your race is not with another Queen, your race is with yourself and how far you wish to go to annihilate the darkness that sometimes you perceive is there. Be your best selves, learn to overcome the seemingly self-loathing perception of not being good enough.
